A Strategic Yes, An Intentional No: Centering Values in Workplace Decision-making In-Person

Organizations often establish lists of values to guide goal-setting and decision-making. But individuals can also benefit from clarifying what matters most to them. Defining your own values can give you a practical framework for making choices about your work even when dealing with constraints.

Join your colleagues for a reflective exercise to articulate your values, followed by discussion of how those values can inform priorities and decisions about where to invest your time. Through peer-to-peer conversations, we can consider how to support each other in making values-aligned choices in our working lives.

No pre-work is necessary to participate in the planned activity and discussion. However, if you're interested, some optional readings that approach the practice of identifying and expressing your values in the workplace from multiple angles are available on the lagniappe guide.
