NMOER Event: Creating Culturally Inclusive Materials

NMOER Event: Creating Culturally Inclusive Materials Online

This workshop, part of the Proactive Accessibility OER Series 2025, focuses on embedding Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and the JEADI (Justice, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion) framework into your OER projects. Faculty nearing the final stages of their drafts will learn how to integrate accessibility with cultural responsiveness, creating materials that resonate with and support diverse student populations. The session provides actionable strategies to address systemic barriers and foster inclusivity, ensuring that your OER reflects the diverse experiences and identities of your students. This session is geared toward not only OER faculty, but also anyone creating digital content who seeks to make their materials more accessible and culturally inclusive.
