NMOER Event: Accessibility in Creating Digital Content

NMOER Event: Accessibility in Creating Digital Content Online

As part of the Proactive Accessibility OER Series 2025, this workshop introduces faculty to the foundational principles of accessibility in digital content creation. Designed to assist authoring faculty at the beginning stages of their OER projects, this session focuses on practical strategies for ensuring your drafts are accessible from the start. Faculty will learn how to create materials that are compatible with screen readers, use tagging and alt text to enhance usability, structure content with proper heading levels, and apply color contrast for readability. This workshop sets the stage for developing OER that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with accessibility best practices.
