Getting Ready to Use the All of Us Researcher Workbench: Using Jupyter Notebooks with Python Online
The University of New Mexico is participating in the All of Us Research Program, which provides researchers with access to health information for a large and diverse sample of the American population.
The complete All of Us dataset includes individual level data and is limited to researchers who have completed a data use agreement. This workshop is open to everyone, and per the requirements of the data use agreement we will not demonstrate or use All of Us data.
Instead, in this informational and skill building session, we will:
- Provide background into the All of Us Research Project
- Identify different levels of data security across the project and the process for accessing data
- Provide hands-on instruction in using the Python programming language within a Jupyter Notebook environment. The analytic workbench tools available within the All of Us Project's secure online environment use Jupyter Notebooks, so familiarity with this platform is a necessary skill for conducting All of Us research.
The workshop will be taught by the University Libraries' Research Data Services.
